    I’d like to be able to up the transparency so I can see a bit of my background graphic through the text container. How can I do this?

    Could you link your site so I can take a look?

    You can try this #page { opacity:0.8;} but it will also cause your header to show transparent.

    I’m not sure what that means. I need more explicit directions. I’m totally new to WordPress.

    Visit Admin > Appearance > NomNom Options and click the Custom CSS tab, copy and paste this into it.

    Code:
    #page { opacity:0.8; }

    Then click save.

    You can adjust the opacity by changing 0.8% higher or lower.

    This theme was not designed to have a transparent content area so I’m not sure if this will give the effect you’re looking for.
