I would like to know how put images in colums and rows and adjust the spacing between them to look like the Flickr widget in WordPress: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_aAjcAMHOGT4/SwgL-X-XyAI/AAAAAAAABdY/NQ4M82htc_Q/s1600/magnifico+wp+theme.jpg
I’d like to have my images src from my wordpress gallery.

You could use a plugin such as http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/category-grid-view-gallery/screenshots/ I have never tried this myself.

You could also edit your current theme gallery. The instagram is basically like Twenty Tens gallery, with less padding, and a dark border. You can install a lightbox plugin to get the effect when you click on an image.

As far as adding them in columns that is done when adding a gallery to a post or page through the options given.

I tried a lot of galleries, and i like the best meta slider lite. I can use it in the widgets. and it´s free, and you can really do a lot with them. just give it a try, very easy no change in the php codes etc..
    good luck
