Since Twenty Plus is technically a child theme, it’s best to use the custom CSS area to make modifications if possible. If your modification requires you to edit the template files, make sure you make note of any changes you’ve made and to which files, as these will be overwritten during an upgrade.
The custom area allows you to add CSS to your theme without modifying any stylesheets. Any CSS you add to this will override the theme CSS. It’s useful if you need to make changes to any of the color schemes, or if you want to design your own using the default “light” scheme as a base or even make simple layout changes such as increasing or decreasing the sidebar width.
Any CSS you add to this will be saved if you upgrade or reinstall the theme. It’s still always a good idea to back up custom code.
